Packed like Sardines in a tin can

Sorry for the late update, but Monday was boring, so I didn't have much to say, and today was busy, so they got crammed together. But that's not what the title refers to. It refers to our 10 hour trip on Monday.
There were 5 of us in the car, and my dad's car is not too roomy, so we were hurting all over by the time we had traveled for about an hour or two.
Fortunately we were able to make a few pit-stops along the way to stretch our legs, but the longer we wait to go back that way the better. I'd rather not think about it.
We finally arrived at our residence around 11 pm. It was a really cozy house with a tiny cottage in the yard where we will be spending the week. We're sharing the cottage with Hannah, and she got to take the upstairs loft, since my wife was too chicken. I really wanted the loft :(
Sam and Bitja made us some fresh focaccia bread and we enjoyed that in the Gazebo.

Tom K managed to rake in another 4 points for recognizing me in my swimgear from 20 something years ago, bringing him up to 15 points.
Denise P managed to get the early-bird 5 point reward for getting the sundown time right and an extra 4 for the best (even though completely incorrect) explanation bringing her up to 14 points.
Micah is family, so he can get his own candy, but he deserves the 4 points anyways for a simple but funny explanation. Truth is, it's just a parking spot for families going to the store, but you probably got that already.
Today we enjoyed the neighborhood around Kode.
It's a very small community, but in a beautiful location. We walked (well actually Hannah and I raced, the others walked) across to an island that was connected to the mainland by a tiny foot-bridge. As soon as we made it out to the water, a rainstorm came in, and we had to run for shelter... except for my crazy little sister of course. Since the weather was so boring, we went in to a nearby town called Kungälv and did some shopping. We had fika in a small cafe that had their bar-stools covered in Jeans, pockets and all... we thought it was a cool idea.

In the evening Sam and Bitja made us some fish in aluminum foil packages  on the grill. It was out of this world delicious.
After everyone ate to their hearts content we played a board game. We laughed til we cried, and then it was time to hit the hay. I was going to post this before going to sleep since it's only 7 pm back home, but the only internet we have out here is through a 3g modem in the main building, and I guess they disconnect it when they go to sleep. I'm thinking they can't sleep with the lights blinking, so you will have to be patient a little longer until you get to read this.
